Abstract
To evaluate comparative analysis of lymph node status and expression of p53, bcl-2 oncoprotein and steroid receptor of 64 invasive duct carcinoma in breast, immunohistochemical study using avidin-biotin complex method was performed. The results were as follows : 1. The frequency of p53 immunoreactivity in 64 invasive duct carcinoma was 37.5%. The correlation of lymph node status and p53 expression in A, B and C groups was 37.5%, 33.3% and 40% p53 expression, respectively. Although number of LN metastasis has increased tendency of p53 expression, there was statistically insignificant. 2. The correlation of lymph node status and bcl-2 expression in A, B and C groups was 72.5%, 66.7% and 40% bcl-2 expression, respectively. Lymph node status and bcl-2 expression were inversely correlated. 3. The frequency of poisitive lymph nodes in ER(+), PR(+) group and ER(-), PR(-) group was 33.3%, and 54.5%, respectively. The frequency of positive lymph node in ER(+), PR(-) group was 66.7% and ER(-), PR(+) group showed no lymph node metastasis. However, this result was statistically insignificant. 4. The frequency of positive lymph nodes in p53(+), bcl-2(+) group and p53(+), bcl-2(-) group was 28.5% and 80%, respecitively. The frequency of positive lymph nodes in p53(-), bcl-2(+) group and p53(-), Bcl-2(-) group was 46.1% and 42.8%, respectively. However, this result was statisticallyn significant.
